As the Technology Director of the IoT Lab at UQAM University, I lead Internet of Things (IoT) projects across a variety of sectors. These projects span multiple phases, including:
Problem definition and RFP (Request for Proposal) development,
Root-cause analysis and workflow optimization,
Solution design,
Prototyping and testing,
as well as support during system integration.
At the ESG (School of Management) of UQAM, our facilities include two distinct laboratories located on separate floors:
The Technical Lab
This lab serves as our testing site and is equipped with a range of technologies, including:
Passive RFID (1D, 2D, and 3D)
Active RFID
Bluetooth
Wi-Fi
Li-Fi
RTLS (Real-Time Locating Systems)
The Demonstration Lab (in collaboration with the GreenUX Lab)
Designed as a simulated retail environment, this lab functions as a showroom where we demonstrate how various technologies operate in practice. It offers a hands-on experience in which real-world problems are addressed using tailored IoT solutions.
