Problem Statement:
Shelf management is a critical aspect of store operations, yet it remains challenging due to the lack of real-time data on product interactions—such as how often items are picked up—or the presence of misplaced products. Traditional shelf systems with complex cabling and bulky hardware further add to maintenance and operational inefficiencies.
Objective:
To develop a smart shelf system that minimizes hardware complexity while providing high visibility into product activity and placement in real time.
Solution:
Implement a daisy-chained antenna system with short-range, accurate RFID reading capabilities, allowing seamless connectivity between shelf units. Combined with RFID-tagged products, this setup enables efficient tracking of product movement and placement with minimal infrastructure.
